Family Reunion Invitation Wording: 21 Examples to Copy
A family reunion invite goes to more people, over more generations, with more lead time than almost any other party. Some relatives read it on paper, some in the family group chat, and a few will forward it to cousins you haven't heard from in years.
Below are 25 examples, sorted by the kind of reunion. Further down there are lines for the practical parts (costs, T-shirts, where to stay) and a note on getting replies per household.

What every family reunion invite needs
- Which family it is: the family name, or "the descendants of [grandparents' names]".
- Date or dates, and times if there's a schedule.
- Place, with an address people can put into a map.
- What's provided and what to bring.
- Cost per person or per household, if there is one.
- How to RSVP, by when, and how many people from each household.
For a reunion, send a save the date six months ahead, or even earlier if people have to travel. The full invite follows two to three months before.
Wording for costs, T-shirts and where to stay
The practical lines usually go at the end of the invite, or on the RSVP page:
-
"Dues are $25 per adult and $10 per child to cover food and the pavilion. Please pay by May 31."
-
"We're making reunion T-shirts! Tell us your sizes when you RSVP."
-
"A room block is held at [hotel] until April 30. Mention the [family name] reunion when you book."
-
"Please bring a dish to share and any old family photos. We'll set up a table for them."
RSVP wording that gets answers
With a reunion, the number you need isn't people, it's people per household. Otherwise one aunt says "we're coming" and you don't know if that's two or seven.
- "Please reply once per household and tell us how many adults and kids are coming."
- "Please RSVP by June 1 so we can order food and T-shirts."
- "Can't come this time? Please reply anyway, so we know to save you a plate next time."
One shared link helps a lot here. Every branch of the family replies in the same place and you don't have to collect answers from five different group chats.
Sending it
With the free family reunion invite maker you put the wording on a card and share one link by text, email or WhatsApp. Relatives reply with their name, no signup, and add the people coming with them as plus-ones, so the count per household is there. With a free account you can add questions like T-shirt size or dietary needs.
If you already have an invite and only need the replies, the family reunion RSVP page handles that part on its own. For the food, the party food calculator gives a rough amount for the group size.
Have a great reunion :)
