Gender Reveal Invitation Wording: 28 Examples to Copy

• Thomas

The envelope from the doctor is sealed, somebody has ordered a cake with a colored filling, and now everybody needs to know when to show up. A gender reveal invite is short and happy, so the hard part is usually just picking a tone.

Here are 28 examples, from sweet to silly. Change the names and the date and send it. At the end there's a note on letting guests vote when they RSVP.

What every gender reveal invite needs

  • Whose baby it is. Obvious to you, less obvious to your partner's coworkers.
  • Date, time and place. If the reveal happens at a set moment, say when ("reveal at 4 pm sharp").
  • What kind of party: backyard, dinner, a quick drop-in.
  • Kids welcome or not.
  • Whether to wear pink or blue. Guests like picking a side.
  • How to RSVP and by when.

If there's a set reveal time, put it in the invite. Latecomers will forgive you for missing the snacks, but missing the cake cut is a different story.

Let guests vote when they RSVP

Half the fun of a gender reveal is guests picking a side. Instead of counting pink and blue shirts on the day, you can ask when people reply. With a free account, add a question to the RSVP form like "Boy or girl? Place your guess" with two options. You'll see the votes next to each name, and at the party you already know who owes whom a cupcake.

A few RSVP lines that work:

  • "Reply by the 10th and cast your vote while you're at it."
  • "Tap the link to RSVP and tell us your guess."
  • "Please let us know if you're bringing the kids, we're planning a little activity for them."

Sending it

Most gender reveal invites go out in a family group chat, where a picture of an ultrasound gets 30 heart reactions and no clear answers. Send a link instead. With the free gender reveal invite maker you put your wording on a card, share one link, and guests reply with their name, their plus-ones and their guess. No signup for them, and the headcount updates as replies come in.

If you already have a card and only need the replies, the gender reveal RSVP page does that part on its own. And if the reveal is part of a shower, the baby shower wording examples have more ideas. For the card itself, there's a baby shower invitation maker too.

Congratulations :)
