Housewarming Invitation Wording: 30 Examples to Copy

• Thomas

Most of the boxes are unpacked and people keep asking when they can come see the place. A housewarming is easy to plan and easy to keep postponing, and usually the only thing missing is the invite.

So here are 30 examples, sorted by the kind of get-together. Pick one, change the details, send it. At the end there's a short note on RSVP lines and how to send it so you get answers back.

What every housewarming invite needs

  • Date and time. For an open house, a window works better ("drop by between 2 and 6").
  • The new address in full, plus the buzzer, floor or a parking tip.
  • Who's invited: partners, kids, dogs.
  • Food and drinks, and whether to bring anything.
  • Gifts: welcome, or please don't.
  • How to RSVP and by when.

The address is the one to double-check. Your friends still have the old one saved in their phones, so write the new one out in full, including the apartment number.

RSVP lines that get answers

For an open house the headcount doesn't need to be exact, but a rough number still decides how much food and how many chairs. A few lines that work:

  • "Reply by the 18th so we know how much food to get."
  • "Drop in whenever, but tap the link so we have a rough count."
  • "Let us know if you're bringing kids, we'll set up a corner for them."
  • "Tap the link to say yes or no. Takes ten seconds, no account needed."

A rough count is enough for an open house. For a dinner, ask for a clear yes or no.

Sending it

If you post a photo of your new front door in the group chat with "party Saturday!", you'll get hearts and a lot of "congrats!!", and still no idea how many people are coming. Send a link instead. With the free housewarming invite maker you put your wording and the new address on a card, share one link, and guests reply with their name. No signup for them. The headcount updates as replies come in, and on the day the address is on the card where people can find it.

If you already have a card and only need the replies, the housewarming RSVP page does that part on its own.

Enjoy the new place :)
