Kids' Birthday Invitation Wording: 30 Examples to Copy

• Thomas

A kids' birthday invite has a different job than a grown-up one. The child reads the theme, the parents read everything else: when to drop off, when to pick up, whether they should stay, and what their kid can eat.

Here are 30 examples, sorted by the kind of party. Pick one, swap in your details, and add a reply-by date. At the end there's a note on what to include and how to send it to the class chat so parents reply with names instead of thumbs.

What every kids' invite needs

  • The child's name and age. Parents want to know what to buy and which "Leo" it is.
  • Date, start time and end time. End time matters more than at any adult party.
  • The address, and where to park if it's tricky.
  • Drop-off or stay. Say it plainly, parents plan their afternoon around it.
  • Siblings: welcome, or only the invited child.
  • Food. What's served, and a line asking about allergies.
  • A reply-by date and a way to reply with the child's name.

RSVP lines that get answers

  • "Reply by May 2 with your child's name so we can count party bags."
  • "Let us know by the 1st, the venue needs numbers a week ahead."
  • "Tap the link, add your child's name, tell us about allergies. Ten seconds, no account."
  • "Reply with siblings too if they're coming, so we have enough of everything."

Ask for the child's name with every reply. That list is what you'll hold on the day.

Sending it

The class chat is where kids' invites go, and where the replies get lost between football schedules and lost-jumper photos.

Send a link instead of a picture. With the free kids' birthday invite maker you put your wording on a card, share one link in the group, and parents reply with their child's name. Turn on the "Kids' Party" question set and each reply also tells you about allergies, whether they stay or drop off, and who picks up, with a phone number. Siblings go in as plus-ones. No signup for the parents, and the list updates as replies come in.

If you already have a card and only need the replies, the kids' birthday RSVP page does that part.

For grown-up birthdays, see the birthday invitation wording examples.

Have a great party, and good luck with the party bags :)
