Getting Started
How do I create an event?
Sign up for free, click "Create Event", fill in the details (name, date, location, description), and you're done. The whole process takes about 60 seconds. You immediately get a shareable link to send to guests.
Is JoinMyEvent really free?
Yes. Making invites, sharing the link, and tracking RSVPs is free, with no caps. Unlimited responses, all fully visible, plus plus-ones and calendar export. No credit card, no trial. Free cards carry a small "Made on joinmyevent.co" credit stamp, and you can pay per event to remove it if you want a clean card.
How long does it take to set up an event?
About 60 seconds. Enter your event name, date, location, and description. That's it. You immediately get a shareable link.
Guest Experience
Do my guests need to create an account?
No. That's the main thing that sets JoinMyEvent apart. Guests simply click your link, enter their name, and tap Accept or Decline. No signup, no email verification, no passwords.
Can guests change their RSVP after responding?
Yes. Guests can return to the invitation link and update their response at any time before the RSVP deadline (if you set one).
Will my guests see any advertisements?
Never. JoinMyEvent is completely ad-free. Your guests see only your event details - no banners, no pop-ups, no distractions.
How do plus-ones work?
When guests RSVP, they can add the names of people they're bringing. All names are collected and shown in your guest list. Plus-ones are always free.

Can I see who's coming before everyone responds?
Yes. Your dashboard shows real-time responses as they come in. You can see who has accepted and who has declined.
How do I share my invitation link?
Copy your unique link and share it anywhere - WhatsApp, text message, email, social media. You can also download a QR code or shareable image.
Can I download my guest list?
CSV export is part of the Host Pass and Lifetime plans. Export your complete guest list as a CSV file with names, responses, plus-ones, and messages.
What's a QR code invitation?
A scannable code that links directly to your invitation. Perfect for printed materials - guests scan with their phone camera and go straight to your RSVP page.
Can guests add events to their calendar?
Yes. Every invitation includes an "Add to Calendar" button that downloads an ICS file compatible with all major calendar apps.
What are custom questions?
Custom questions let you ask guests for additional information when they RSVP. Choose from text fields, Yes/No, single choice, or multiple choice. Great for dietary restrictions, meal choices, song requests, or any event-specific info you need.
What's the difference between per-party and per-person questions?
When creating custom questions, you can choose how they're answered:
- Per party: One answer for the whole group. Example: "Any song requests?" - the respondent answers once for themselves and all their plus-ones.
- Per person: Each guest answers individually. Example: "Dietary restrictions" - the respondent answers for themselves, then each plus-one provides their own answer.
How do dietary restrictions work?
Use the "Dietary Restrictions" quick-add template when creating custom questions. It includes common options:
- Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-free, Dairy-free
- Nut allergy, Halal, Kosher
- "Other" with a text field for custom needs
Guests can select multiple options. When you export to CSV, you get individual selections per guest plus a summary section with counts per category - perfect for sharing with caterers.
Pricing & Plans
Are there any limits on RSVPs?
No. RSVPs are unlimited and always fully visible, on every account, for free. There's no monthly cap and no hidden responses. Plus-ones are free too.
What's the credit stamp, and how do I remove it?
Free cards carry a small "Made on joinmyevent.co" credit stamp. To export a clean card without it, you pay once per event: $2.99 to remove the stamp, or $5.99 to remove it and add Motion (an animated GIF or MP4 version of your card). You only pay for the events where you want a clean export.
Is there a cheaper option for several events?
Yes. The 3-event pack is $8.99 and includes Motion. You get 3 credits that never expire, so you can use them whenever your events come up. That works out cheaper than unlocking three events one by one.
What's the Host Pass?
The Host Pass is $19.99 a year and covers unlimited clean exports, Motion, and CSV export for all your events. It's the only recurring plan. If you host often, it's the easiest way to never think about per-event unlocks.
What's included in the lifetime deal?
Unlimited clean exports, Motion, and CSV export for every event, forever, plus all future updates. Pay once ($149.99), never pay again.
Who can use CSV export?
CSV export is a Host Pass and Lifetime perk. It downloads your full guest list (names, responses, plus-ones, messages, and a dietary summary), which is handy for caterers and venues.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. The Host Pass is the only recurring plan, and you can cancel it anytime. You keep access until the end of your billing year. Per-event unlocks and the 3-event pack are one-time payments, so there's nothing to cancel.
How does the lifetime deal compare to the Host Pass?
The lifetime deal ($149.99) is a one-time payment, about the same as 7.5 years of the Host Pass ($19.99/year). If you'll keep hosting events for a few years, lifetime is the better value.
Comparisons
How is JoinMyEvent different from Evite?
Evite shows ads to your guests and pushes them to create accounts. JoinMyEvent is completely ad-free and never requires guest signup. Your guests get a clean, distraction-free experience.
Why not just use Google Forms?
Google Forms works for basic RSVPs, but lacks event-specific features: no plus-one tracking, no calendar export, no QR codes, no guest list visibility options. JoinMyEvent is purpose-built for events.
What about Facebook Events?
Facebook Events requires all guests to have Facebook accounts, which many people don't have or don't want to use for event RSVPs. JoinMyEvent works for everyone, no social media accounts needed.

What browsers are supported?
JoinMyEvent works on all modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Both desktop and mobile.
Is my data secure?
Yes. JoinMyEvent uses HTTPS encryption and secure password hashing, and follows current best practices. It doesn't sell your data or show ads.
Can I use JoinMyEvent on mobile?
Yes. The entire platform is mobile-responsive. Create events, track RSVPs, and share invitations from your phone.
How long is my event data stored?
Event data is automatically deleted 2 weeks after the event date. This keeps your account clean and protects guest privacy. Make sure to export your guest list before then if you need it for your records.
