The rules and guidelines for using JoinMyEvent.

Welcome to JoinMyEvent. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Service Description
JoinMyEvent is an event invitation service that allows you to:
- Create events with details like name, location, date, and description
- Share invite links with your guests
- Collect RSVPs from guests (who can respond without creating an account)
- Manage guest lists and export data (on eligible plans)
We offer both free and paid subscription tiers with different usage limits and features. Current pricing and features are displayed on our website and subscription page.
2. Account Terms
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use JoinMyEvent. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
Account Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate registration information
- Keeping your password secure and confidential
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
You may only create one account per person. We reserve the right to terminate duplicate accounts.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
Important: This section contains legally required disclosures about auto-renewal and cancellation.
Free Tier
The free tier provides limited usage at no cost. No payment information is required.
Monthly Subscriptions
Paid monthly subscriptions (Basic, Standard, Unlimited) work as follows:
- Billing Cycle: You will be charged monthly on the anniversary of your subscription start date
- Auto-Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew each month until you cancel. You will be charged the then-current subscription price at each renewal
- Payment Method: The payment method you provide will be charged automatically for each renewal
- Price Changes: We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance
Lifetime Access
The Lifetime tier is a one-time purchase that provides unlimited access with no recurring charges. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the JoinMyEvent service.
How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- Go to your Subscription page in your account
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Your access continues until the end of your current billing period
- After cancellation, your account reverts to the free tier
Refund Policy
14-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you're not satisfied with your subscription, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or any renewal. Contact us at contact@joinmyevent.co to request a refund.
EU/EEA Right of Withdrawal
Important for EU/EEA consumers: Under EU Consumer Rights Directive, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from online purchases without giving any reason.
However, for digital services like JoinMyEvent, this right can be waived. When you subscribe:
- You will be asked to expressly consent to immediate access to the service
- By giving this consent, you acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once you begin using the service
- You cannot withdraw after you have started using the service (e.g., created an event, accessed paid features)
Note: Even though the statutory withdrawal right is waived upon use, our voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee (above) still applies. This means you can still request a refund within 14 days if you're not satisfied, regardless of the statutory waiver.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Polar. By making a purchase, you also agree to Polar's Terms of Service. Prices displayed may be subject to applicable taxes based on your location.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use JoinMyEvent to:
- Create events for illegal activities
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk invitations
- Impersonate others or create misleading events
- Collect personal data from guests for purposes other than your event
- Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
- Interfere with the service or other users' access
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create (event details, descriptions, etc.). By using JoinMyEvent, you grant us a license to host, display, and transmit your content as necessary to provide the service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you upload, including images or text.
6. Intellectual Property
JoinMyEvent and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our service or its content without permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
JoinMyEvent is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
- We are not responsible for events that don't happen as planned, guest no-shows, or similar issues
These limitations do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Termination
By You: You can delete your account at any time from your Settings page. Upon deletion, your events and data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for other legitimate reasons. We will notify you when possible.
9. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Hamburg, Germany.
For EU consumers: Nothing in these terms affects your right to bring proceedings in your country of residence under local consumer protection laws. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will:
- Notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect
- Post the updated terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date
Continued use of JoinMyEvent after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you disagree with changes, you may cancel your subscription and delete your account.
