Question Sets: Add Allergies, Meal Choice and Pickup Details to Your RSVP Form in One Click
Updated September 2026.
Every host asks the same things. Any allergies? Chicken or fish? Who's picking up? Asking each guest one by one takes an evening. Asking on the RSVP form takes nothing, and the answers land next to each name on your guest list.
The question editor has five ready-made sets. One click adds a set, and you can edit it before you save.
The five sets
Dietary requirements. A multiple-choice question with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut allergy, halal, kosher and "other" with a text box. Asked per guest, so a plus-one gets their own answer.
Meal choice. Single choice: chicken, beef, fish, vegetarian, vegan, kids' meal, other. For dinners, weddings and anything catered. Also per guest.
T-shirt size. XS to 3XL, per guest. Team events, fun runs, family reunions with matching shirts.
How are you getting there? Driving and need parking, public transport, taxi, walking, need a ride, can offer rides. Asked once per reply. Useful for venues with tight parking and for parties where nobody should drive home.
Kids' party. Three questions built for parents replying on behalf of a child:
- Any allergies or foods to avoid? (per child, so siblings each get one)
- Will a parent stay or drop off?
- Who picks up, and a phone number for the day?
Siblings are handled by plus-ones, so you don't need a "how many kids" question.
Adding a set
- Create or edit your event and open the Custom questions section.
- Tap the set you want. Its questions appear in the editor.
- Change the wording, remove options you don't need, or mark a question as required.
- Save. The questions show on the invite page once a guest picks "I'll be there".
There is no limit on the number of questions, and the sets can be combined. A wedding might use Meal choice and Transport. A kids' party uses the Kids' set and nothing else.
Per guest or per reply
Each question has an "ask each guest" switch. On, and every plus-one gets the question too, which is what you want for allergies and meal choice. Off, and it's asked once per reply, which is right for "how are you getting there?" or "will a parent stay?". The sets come with the sensible default already picked.
Your own questions
The sets are a starting point. You can also add any question from scratch: free text, yes/no, single choice or multiple choice. "Want to say a few words at the party?" as a yes/no question saves a lot of texting before a 50th.
Where the answers go
On the event dashboard, next to each guest's name and their plus-ones. If you need a file for the caterer, the CSV export is part of the $2.99 per-event unlock. The questions themselves, and everything else on the RSVP form, are free with no limits.
Open /start or your event's edit page and try one. It's the part of hosting I was happiest to stop doing by hand :)
